WE MADE IT!!!!!

After 12 hours on a plane, a 25 minute trek with our luggage to a bus from the airport, an hour wait for our accreditation, and a 45 minute search through 5 buildings for a computer we finally managed to get here to write this to all of you! Ok I am slighly lying because that all actually occured last night..but you get the gist! This morning we woke up in our nicely spacious and partially flooded room (the shower doesn't have functioning doors) however it is quite a bit nicer than the boys. And headed to breakfast run by the serving nazi... one piece of fruit or your outta there! After breakfast we piled into two separate vans and drove out to Pinerolo for our first European practice! The ice was keen and Katrine preformed her usual gracious fall whilst sweeping Hayley's 3 second peel weight! After practice we managed to bribe our way into the actual curling facility (Canadian pins can get you anywhere) where they have just begun to flood the ice. It was really cool to see the arena that we will be playing in. After that we headed over to good ol' McDonalds to order some Big and Tasty Burgers and went across the street to the amazingly cheap Grocery Store (€1.16 for 10 bananas). We then got back in our vans for the ride back to the village which included a short leg of driving on the wrong side of the road with a car coming at us...never a dull moment in Italy!

The other part of the support team is on it's way. The countdown is on.

Don't spend all your money at McDonald's. ;-)
